Hi, I’m Helen! Marketer by day, matchmaker by night. I’ve always loved connecting people. From introducing friends in new cities to lining up job opportunities to playing cupid, I’ve been bridging the gap between people who should know each other for as long as I can remember.

Now, I run Someone You Should Know - a way for San Diego’s most eligible singles (and soon, other cities!) to meet the old-school way: blind dates. ;)

A little about me: I grew up in South Carolina, studied at Point Loma Nazarene, spent time in Oxford (UK), Colorado, Charlotte, and LA before moving back to Cardiff with my husband in 2024.

I got married at 29, which in the South can feel “late”, but I believe love has its own timeline. Before meeting my husband, I went on plenty of dates and learned something valuable from each one.

I’m a people person to the core. That’s what led me to launch not only this matchmaking venture, but also a mobile bar cart business, Revelrita, that’s all about creating connection through events.

My matchmaking started casually - hyping up my single friends and setting them up with people I thought they’d click with. No pressure, just a date. That simple idea turned into real relationships, weddings, and a lot of great stories.

My philosophy: date sooner, end sooner. Dating should be fun, not heavy. If someone isn’t your person, move on quickly instead of dragging out situationships. That way, you stay open for the right connection. I’m so glad you’re here, let’s get to matchmaking!
